Wooden Lines brings together two materials that share a quiet strength – the acoustic core consists of eelgrass gently collected along the Danish coastline after it washes ashore and dried by sun and wind. The material naturally binds carbon, offers excellent sound absorption and is both non-toxic and durable.
Originally designed by Lars Vejen for the interior of a Japanese Restaurant, Wooden Lines is born from the ambition to create a calm and intimate atmosphere supported by comfortable acoustics.
The design is intentionally restrained, allowing it to integrate naturally into different architectural contexts — from hospitality interiors and restaurants to offices, galleries and private spaces. In front of the eelgrass, a rhythm of oak lines adds warmth and architectural depth to the surface.
